Laurence Lau

 

Laurence founded The Golden Company in 2018 (formerly Ease Consulting) and brings analytical rigor and structured thinking to each project with an unrelenting focus on driving business value.

 

Laurence developed his analytical skills as a Wall Street quant and brings this rigorous training to each project, including financial analysis, backtesting, and stress testing if required. He has extensive experience in data requirement brainstorming + generation, data cleansing, data analysis, and data presentation.

 

Laurence earned his consulting skills at Strategy&. His experience at Strategy& and The Golden Company includes C-level strategic advisory for multinational organizations across industries and functions, including (but not limited to) corporate strategy, Private Equity value creation, supply chain optimization, and pricing strategy. Laurence is a CFA Charterholder based in Boston.

Diarmuid Early

 

Diarmuid has well over a decade of experience helping businesses to make better decisions by understanding their data - from start-ups to major global brands. He specializes in presenting and visualizing complex data in simple ways to allow people to find insight, and in building spreadsheets and applications with intuitive user interfaces.

 

Diarmuid started his career as a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group in London, then spent almost a decade as a business manager in Deutsche Bank's Origination and Advisory division before founding Early Days Consulting to offer his skills to a wider client base.

 

With a PhD in Computer Science (focused on efficient algorithm design), Diarmuid is well-placed to advise on model design, automation, and efficiency - and routinely turns client tasks from hours of manual work into a few button clicks. As a former CFA Charterholder, he also has the expertise to advise on and develop complex financial models. Diarmuid lives in New York with his wife and two children.
